Estrumate is an injectable solution used in the reproductive management of horses.

Estrumate contains Cloprostenol, which is a synthetic prostaglandin (structurally similar to PGF). It causes regression of the corpus luteum, which is followed by return to oestrus & normal ovulation.

It has a number of uses in horses:

- Treating lactation anoestrus

- Ending pseudopregnancy

- Ending persistent dioestrus

- Establishng oestrous cycles in maiden or barren mares

- Inducing luteolysis after early fetal death & resorption

This product requires a prescription from your vet & will only be dispatched once we receive this prescription.

Legal Category- POM-V

Warnings & Contraindications- Can cause sweating & mild colic signs in horses. Take care when handling the product & avoid contact with skin or self injection.

Women of child-bearing age, asthmatics & people with respiratory problems should avoid contact with, or wear disposable plastic gloves when administering the product.

Pregnancy & Lactation- Only give to pregnant mares if intending to cause abortion or induce parturition. Seek advice from your vet for use during lactation.

Passport Requirements- This medication cannot be used in horses intended for human consumption. Your vet must have signed Section 9 of your horse's passport (or Section 2 for passports issued after 1st January 2016).

This item is a prescription medication and cannot be sent until a valid prescription is received. Please note, we only accept prescriptions written by vets registered in the UK with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
